Dream Builder Essentials Sample Kit
Build Your Mattress with Confidence—Sample First.
Whether you’re a hands-on do-it-yourselfer or simply someone who wants to understand what you're sleeping on, the Dream Builder Essentials Sample Kit puts comfort and control directly in your hands.
This kit lets you feel and compare real mattress materials so you can discover what works best for your body and sleep style. No guesswork. No gimmicks. Just a smarter way to build your own sleep system—layer by layer.
How to Use the Essentials Kit
Palm Test
This helps identify low point elasticity, but you’re also feeling how the material handles broad pressure overall.
Spread your fingers wide and press your palm firmly into the layer. Materials with low point elasticity will compress across a broader area, not just directly under your hand. This shows how the material responds to even, full-body pressure—a key factor in how firm or flat the mattress will feel when you lie down.
Low point elasticity means pressure spreads out across the surface, resulting in less contouring and a flatter, more uniform feel.
Pressure Point Test
This helps identify high point elasticity, though you’re also observing how the material resists concentrated pressure.
Use just your index finger to press into the same layer. Materials with high point elasticity will compress only where you apply pressure, without affecting surrounding areas. This test highlights how the layer will respond to pressure at your shoulders, hips, or joints, which is critical for comfort and pressure relief.
High point elasticity means the material responds exactly where pressure is applied—ideal for relieving stress at the hips, shoulders, and other joints.
Why It Matters
Both tests give you insight into a material’s point elasticity, just from different angles.
Together, they help you decide:
Does this layer feel too flat or too contoured?
Will it cradle pressure points or spread the load evenly?
Is it better suited as a comfort layer or a stable base?
Understanding this makes it easier to choose the right materials for your build—and avoid guesswork when it comes to feel and support.
The Essentials Sample Kit gives you real materials to test at home, at your pace, in your own environment. You’ll experience how each layer feels, how they interact, and how your body responds—long before you commit to a full mattress build.
Even better?
Every dollar you spend on this kit comes back to you as credit toward your next purchase of any comfort layer.
That means this kit isn’t an extra cost—it’s a smart investment in better sleep, built on your terms.
